The upper Medina Estuary ices over

In recent days the upper Medina Estuary has frozen over following sub zero temperatures overnight and highs of just 3 degrees C during the day.The temperature in the Medina Valley fell to a low of -8.5 degrees C on the night of the 3/4 February and the film of ice extended across the Folly Lake (see photograph).
