Juniors enjoy sailing at the MVCHere at the MVC, we run both Junior courses up to Stage 4 as well as the Adult scheme. Recently, young first-time sailors have been learning new skills on the sheltered waters of the Medina and completing their RYA Stage 1 dinghy sailing programme (see picture). Cowes Week 2013 'champagne conditions':The weather on the first day of sailing during Cowes Week 2013 were referred to as 'champagne conditions' - a steady south-west wind Force 4 on the Beaufort Scale, with sunny intervals, excellent visibility and 22 degrees C. (see video below). This ensured a colourful finish with the yachts' back-lit spinnakers passing close to the spectators on The Green.

St. Georges school take to the water.Pupils from St. George's school Newport were the first group to take to the water in 2011. They had a great time in our open canoes and sit-on kayaks and made the following comments:
