Medina Valley Centre is an established residential centre for environmental and outdoor education on the Isle of Wight.

We have extensive experience in outdoor education, having led both residential and non-residential visits in field study courses and environmental education on the Isle of
Wight for 30 years.

We seek to develop our field study courses, by building on our experience of fieldwork and outdoor education with current environmental issues and teaching approaches.

We offer a wide range of field study and environmental education courses on the Isle of Wight from Key Stage 2 to A Level and beyond, notably in science, history, biology, ecology, geography and environmental studies. Fieldwork at our Centre provides students with a valuable hands-on experience of the 'outdoor classroom' that will bring the subject alive.

We are also undertake Environmental Research and Consultancy here on the Isle of Wight and south coast of England.

For older students the fieldwork helps to develop a range of skills, including the investigative approach, which are required by exam many exam boards. Our local knowledge and expertise, along with our long term datasets can enhance A Level and GCSE fieldwork.

Our outdoor and environmental education courses for primary children can assist the teaching of science, geography and history by providing inspiring experiences which are never forgotten. Outdoor activities, such as sailing, canoeing and orienteering, can also be built into an outdoor education week to encourage teamwork and other skills. A residential visit as a whole will also encourage personal development and citizenship.
