About Us
Medina Valley Centre Ltd. is a non-profit making organisation with charitable status (No. 236153). We were established as an outdoor activity centre in 1963 offering holidays on the Isle of Wight and have taught field studies and environmental education since 1977. With several meeting rooms and comfortable surroundings our facilities are also often used as a conference venue.
Medina Valley Centre has been recognised as an Eco-Centre as we aim to demonstrate key concepts of sustainability. We have been flying our ‘Green Flag’ since 2001 and are currently working towards the final stage of the award, where we will be given permanent recognition for our work towards sustainability.
The Centre has a Christian heritage and the board of Trustees is made up of Christians committed to the purposes of the Centre. Our Christian faith is as important to us today as it was when our doors first opened and we hope it is reflected in the quality of all our work and relationships. In addition, we give a “Thought for the Day” every morning as well as saying grace before all meals.
We are supported prayerfully, financially & in many other ways by the Dodnor Fellowship who are a group of Christians from the Island, the UK mainland and abroad. |
