Our Boats

Canoeing

1. Canadian Canoe

We have 6 Ranger open canadian canoes which seat 3 people.  They are great for exploring the river and are relatively stable on the water.

2. Sit-on kayak

We have 12 adult Perception sit-on kayaks and 4 junior Sea-Kayak sit-on kayaks.  They provide great fun for all ages to play on the river.

Sailing

1. Optimist

Children love to sail Optimist dinghies, and many of today's stars of sailing learnt to sail in them. They are safe boats and easy for children to rig and control. We run Optimist sailing courses for beginners, which run throughout most school holidays.

2. Laser Pico

Laser Picos are great for learning to sail if you are slightly bigger! All the fun and more of an Optimist sailing dinghy – you will get wet! We run youth laser pico sailing courses throughout the school holidays. They are also the boat to sail to improve your sailing skills once you have learnt to sail in an Optimist and would like a new sailing challenge!

3. Topaz Uno

Topaz Unos are the new sailing dinghies made by Topper. Sailing in a Topaz is never boring, and sailing with the Race-X rig, which has an asymmetric spinnaker really develops your sailing skills! This livelier boat is a lot of fun – staying dry is not really an option!

4. Seastar

Seastars are 16' sailing dinghies which were designed here to sail on the Medina Estuary. Learn to sail in a seastar and you won't be disappointed - sailing is safe, the sailing boat is responsive and is a lot of fun!

5. Laser 3000

Laser 3000s are the Ferraris of our fleet! With a large sail area, including asymmetric spinnaker, and a trapeze they are fast and furious! This exciting sailing dinghy develops your sailing skills and gives you confidence sailing high performance dinghies! We also have a Laser II Regatta which has the same hull as Laser 3000 but flies a symmetrical spinnaker instead, allowing you to learn both techniques!

6. Drascombe Longboat

The Drascombe Longboat is an ideal boat for day sailing. With a length overall of 21'9" there is plenty of room for several people and even space to store the picnic along with the charts, radio, first aid kit and all those other essentials!

Powerboats

1. Displacement Craft

"Penny" is a Cheverton Champ which provides a good teaching platform and base. She is also used on Powerboat courses.

2. Planing Craft

RIBs - The Centre has 3 RIBs, 2 with 40 Hp Yamaha outboard engines, the other with 50 Hp Suzuki. The RIBs are a 4.65 m Avon Supersport, two Porter Rescue boats 4.5m and 5.4m.
