Powerboating

RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) and sports boats provide speed,
excitement, versatility and fun.

They are usually open boats powered by one or two engines and are
most suitable for day excursions. Whether you want to explore the
rugged coastline of Britain, have fun locally, go waterskiing, impress
your friends with a thrilling experience or take the family for a day
outing then you will not be disappointed.

Powerboat Courses at the Medina Valley Centre

Powerboat courses at the MVC follow the RYA National Powerboat Scheme, a course for those wanting to drive small open powerboats such as RIBs, sports boats and small launches; the sort of boats used for short coastal or inland trips, fishing, safety cover for other watersports, waterskiing or as a support boat for diving.

The sheltered tidal waters of the estuary provide safe yet challenging conditions for developing initial powerboat handling skills. Combine this with a trip down the river learning navigation, how to respond to other water users and a session at speed out on the Solent, and students will gain an all round great experience and education in power boating.
