Location

We are located on the sheltered waters of the Medina estuary, Isle of Wight, which provides a safe, yet challenging, environment to learn to sail or canoe or to improve your techniques.The busy yachting town of Cowes is downstream and the county town of Newport, is 2 km further south.

Most of our courses take place on the Medina estuary, but many of our more advanced courses take place on the Solent.

Red Funnel and Wightlink Ferries provide easy travel to the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth, Southampton and Yarmouth. Hovertravel also provide a passenger service from Portsmouth.

There is a regular bus service from both Cowes and Ryde to Newport. The number 9 runs from Ryde Esplanade every 15 minutes in the day time and every 30 minutes in the evening. The number 1 runs from the Red Jet Terminal at Cowes every 8 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes in the evenings and at weekends. For a more detailed timetable see www.islandbuses.info
