We managed to pack a lot into three days with Much Birch Primary School from Herefordshire last week! The thirty six students started with an orienteering race in the glorious Island sunshine. The next day we hiked over Tennyson Down and the students enjoyed learning about the various flora and fauna we saw along the way, as well as the history of the West Wight via the Needles boat trip. Despite the rain, the group loved exploring the rocky shore at Bembridge and a competition began as to who could find the biggest crab or the prettiest starfish. That afternoon the group got even wetter, and set to the water of the Medina Estuary in canoes and kayaks, as well as rafts the students built themselves!
Looking forward to welcoming you again to the Medina Valley Centre in 2019 Much Birch!Back to latest news
