The Year 6s from Newport C of E Primary School enjoyed glorious weather for their end of year, five day residential at the Medina Valley Centre. 36 children from this local primary school experienced a week of exciting activities that built character, enhanced self- confidence and self-worth, assisting the transition to secondary school in September.
Memorable experiences for the children included, cooking fresh fish over a fire during the bushcraft session, building and paddling a raft on the River Medina, competing in an orienteering competition, exploring life in the pond and in the estuary mud, archery and target shooting, team building challenges, just to name a few!
The group of wonderful, hard working teachers from the school, ensured that each child got the most out of this special residential school trip by tirelessly encouraging and caring for each individual in their charge. A big thank you to all the Newport C of E staff who stayed at the Centre during the week, for all your support, patience and friendship. We are already looking forward to your next visit!
